The husband and I went to Athens, GA in mid-August with our friends Laura and Jordan.  Athens is the home of the University of Georgia’s main campus and Laura went to grad school there.  She recommended it as a cute, somewhat quirky, and nightlife-abundant town, perfect for a weekend away from home. Dykki @ Whiskey (Durham)

Comments : 4 Posted in : Absinthe, Bars and Tasting Rooms, Bars in Durham - NC on by : The Gourmez

Dykki Whiskey Five Points, Durham This colorless cocktail was made with Plymouth gin, St. Germain elderflower liquor, Lillet Blanc, and an absinthe rinse.  It smelled of both licorice and pine trees.  The elderflower liquor gave a hint of sweetness to the drink and the Lillet Blanc provided smoothness.  These two elements combined made the gin
