This cabernet smells of tart raspberries, coffee, and blueberry syrup from IHOP. It tastes of plum and leather, which calls to mind Fruit by the Foot. There is a little raspberry as well.
I’ve been wine tasting for years now, but I like to think I approach it from the average consumer’s perspective. I believe the average consumer can appreciate when a cabernet franc boasts deep flavors or that first effervescent sip of vinho verde conjures up delightful summertime memories. But more often than not, they just want an affordable glass of wine that tastes delicious while lounging by the TV.
