RumChata Wisconsin 13.5% ABV RumChata is a liqueur coming from the Agave Loco brand, and you can bet I squealed when I saw it on the shelf. Why? Because I love horchata, and an horchata made for imbibing sounded perfect to me. My expert background in foodie Spanish means I can translate their horchata con

Seigneurs de Bergerac 2010 Rouge Bergerac, France This red wine blend of French varietals has a nose full of leather and strong, jammy plum and cherry. Some vanilla rises up as well when sniffing. When sipping, it strikes me as very smooth with plenty of spice and chocolate. It comes across as Mexican in savoriness,

City Kitchen Media Dinner Website Last week, I had the pleasure of attending a complimentary dinner at City Kitchen for media types, which I am occasionally considered thanks to my WRAL Out and About posts. Jubala Village Coffee 8450 Honeycutt Road Lafayette Village, Raleigh Website $2.50 — $7.50 I have heard endless praise for Jubala since it opened in the beautiful Lafayette Village in North Raleigh about a year and a half ago. Wild Vines Blackberry Merlot

Wild Vines Blackberry Merlot This is a cheap, cheap wine purchase. I’m pretty sure it cost me a whopping $3.50. What can I say? A fruit wine sounded fun while perusing the shelves at Kroger. It’s very purple with red highlights, like a Mr. Sketch grape-scented marker. But little grape makes it into the swallow
