Wine: Lindemans’ Bin 75 Riesling 2008 Region: Australia On first sip, I like it. A lot. There’s a mild sweetness that contrasts with its acidity. Fresh honeydew and tangerine notes linger. There’s some flower in the party, too — perhaps lavender, but I’m no expert at guessing floral notes.

Wine: Condesa de Sarabella Viura 2008 Region:  Spain This pleasant wine starts with a faint nose of apples.  A mild sweetness rolls over your tongue until it fades to minerality, with a twist of lime. Wine:  Bella Sera 2007 Pinot Grigio Region:  Dollo Venizie, Italy This pinot grigio smells of sweet and crisp honeydew. It tastes minerally with some undertones of green pear and a dash of vanilla thrown in for good measure.  There’s also an aftertaste like you’ve just eaten a tart lemon cream cookie.  I’d like another, please.

This wine is a noteworthy combination of a dry white wine with a false sweetness.  There  are vanilla notes but also the slight tartness of a green apple or ripened grapefruit.  I could drink it all day.
