Wine Review–Snapping Turtle Merlot 2007

Wine:  Snapping Turtle Merlot 2007
Region:  Monterey, CA

This smooth, full wine smelled of pipe tobacco and curry leaves.  It tasted of plum with a bite.  The tobacco was also present while sipping.  Strange, but surprisingly appealing as there was also a note of Dijon mustard.  Overall, a pleasant wine.

We are pleased that you enjoyed the Snapping Turtle Merlot! The brand was launched earlier this summer to some good reviews. Thank you for tasting Snapping Turtle and we hope you are able to try a few of our other wines soon.

I love the wine, it is smooth and delicious. I am trying the chardonay today. I am sure it will be just as great.
